Posted on February 15, 2013 by Dan Goldwasser

Last year, composer Atli Örvarsson recorded his score for the hit horror-comedy Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, directed by Tommy Wirkola (Dead Snow). The film, which stars Jeremy Renner, Gemma Arterton and Famke Janssen, opened on January 25 and has grossed nearly $130 million worldwide.

Recorded at the Sony Scoring Stage, Örvarsson conducted his thematic score, which was supplemented by heavy rock elements (ala Rammstein) and choir.
